This might get you out of the hole - its a tiny self contained browser - OffByOne - its secure, fast, and surprisingly very well featured for the size !
It isn't quite as intuitive as IE or Firefox, but it packs a lot of punch for such a small program - tip - click the "URL" button, and type in the full website address of where you want to visit i.e. http://www.coreutilities.co.uk
If you can't get it from the official site (linked above), try downloading it direct from me - OffByOneSetup.zip - unfortunately my current web host does not allow executable files, so i've had to turn it into a zip file :-}
